
ResearchFDI is pleased to announce the appointment of Nisan Abdulkader as Vice President, Government and Business Development Africa & Middle East, reinforcing the company’s commitment to supporting investment attraction and economic development across some of the world’s fastest-growing markets.
An internationally recognized investment promotion and strategic government advisor, Nisan brings more than a decade of experience working across Africa, the Middle East, and global non-governmental institutions. Throughout her career, she has advised more than 30 investment promotion agencies (IPAs) and governments across the African continent, contributing to the facilitation of over US$1 billion in investment across priority sectors including infrastructure, renewable energy, agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, and housing.
Her work has focused on helping countries strengthen their global positioning, develop competitive investment narratives, and connect international investors with high-impact opportunities that drive sustainable economic growth and local value addition.
Prior to joining ResearchFDI, Nisan held leadership positions across international organizations, development-focused institutions, and global media platforms, including roles with the Financial Times Group, Wavteq and United Nations agencies. She has also contributed regularly to international media outlets including CNBC and BBC on topics related to investment, development, and emerging markets.

In her new role, Nisan will lead ResearchFDI’s initiatives including lead generation, strategic consulting and capacity building across Africa and the Middle East, supporting investment promotion agencies, and governments in strengthening their competitiveness and attracting transformative foreign direct investment.

Nisan holds degrees from McGill University and Harvard University, is fluent in six languages, and has received numerous international recognitions for her leadership and impact in investment promotion and economic development.
